Yes, from the perspective that we have a Latino inclusive board of Cubans, Puerto Ricans, and Mexican Americans. Our staff is an OAS [type] of staff. We have a Colombian American director, a Chicano citizenship director, a Peruvian research director in Washington D.C., and a Puerto Rican head of a New York office. Our programs are Latino inclusive—Mexicanos, Puerto Ricans, Central and South Americans, and Cuban Americans have all benefited from NALEO’S programs. So, we clearly are a Latino inclusive organization or a Latino coalition. Our success has been made possible by having support from different community groups. If we did not have Puerto Rican support in New York city we would not have been able to open up an office. We would not have been able to hold a conference in Miami, Florida three or four years ago without active Cuban American support. We are a coalition (Pachon, 1992).
